Creating tasks is a great way of keeping track of all the things you have to do. By offloading your mind and put them into Doit.io, you can start focusing on what matters, getting things done. To add and manage tasks, follow these steps below.
Create a task
- Bring up the following 'new section' toolbar by clicking on an empty section in the note
- Click the 'add-task' icon and write a task
You can also click the 'plus' icon to the left to add a new task or section anywhere within the note.
Add a due date
To make sure you don't miss out on a specific task or event, you can add a due date to your tasks. You will then get a reminder so that you don't forget about it.
To add a date, follow these steps:
- Hover over any task or event and click 'Add date'
- You can then either write a time or date, or both directly in the menu, or;
- Select a date from the calendar
Tip: Tip: As an example, you can add a date by writing the following 'Thursday 4pm - 5pm'
Assign a task
You can assign tasks to either yourself or the people you want to collaborate with. To assign a task click the 'Assign to' icon at the right.
From the dropdown list, you can invite those you wish to collaborate with. You can also write the email of the person directly.
Set a task to Important
To mark a task important, click 'Important' in the task dropdown menu to the right. The task will be marked in red to indicate that it's important.
Delete a task
To delete a task you can either delete it from the note itself using the back button Key: back repeatedly or go to the section menu to the right and click 'delete' in the dropdown list.
