All tasks ever created show up here, even ones that were created in a separate note. Creating tasks from here gives you the flexibility to add single tasks (or events) that may not have a place in a note, but want to serve as indivdual reminders of something that needs to get done.
Note: Note: Here tasks are arranged by due date, but if no due date is included they are arranged in the order in which they were created. Unlike with a note, where the order of tasks can be changed.
Is your task due to be completed today or maybe you have an event you know you absolutely cannot forget?
Add it here, with its due / start date. Alternatively you may want to start with a date when creating a new task or event. If that is the case you might prefer working from the Calendar View. You can find more information about that here. insert link to article.
Hide Tasks or Events
Tasks created in a note showing up in your Task view that you'd rather not see?
You can simply click on the icon to hide all tasks (or events) from that particular note. You can only hide tasks created within a note, tasks created in My Tasks cannot be hidden.
To return hidden tasks to My Tasks, go to the note containing the tasks in question. Click on the 3 dots in the right hand corner of the note (visible both inside and outside of the note.) From the drop down menu click 'Show in My Tasks & Calendar'.
Section Menu
Finally at the very far right of the task section you will see an icon showing 3 vertical dots. This drops down the Section Menu that offers the option to convert the task to a note (and vice versa), to mark the section as Important or to delete the section altogether, as shown in the screenshot below.
Tip: Tip: If you create a new task from 'Today' then it will be marked as overdue by tomorrow. If you are unsure by when it needs to be completed, you can create it under 'Later' and therefore will not appear in your overdue list at any point, unless you add a due date.
